Our assembly was about animals that are endangered and about our opinions on zoos. We told our audience lots of facts about different endangered animals and asked them to guess some animals of their own. We sang songs and used lots colourful posters. I enjoyed doing it and the audience enjoyed it too.

Last Friday P5/6 had an assembly. The assembly was about animals. We looked at Endangered Species, such as Snow Leopards, Tigers, Polar Bears, Turtles and Rhinos. We gave some advice on how we could help these animals.
We had a discussion on whether Zoos are good or bad. Some of us thought they were a good thing, some thought they weren’t.
We also had animal ‘Who am I?’ quizzes and a play. The play was called The Great Escape and was about animals trying to escape from a zoo.
As usual, our head teacher gave out awards and certficates for the Curriculum for Excellence. Our class received another rocket award for all our hard work!

On Friday we were learning some Science. We were learning about Circulation. There were two people at each table, each pair were given a part of the body, such as the heart, the brain or the stomach. Everybody else got a card which was red on one side and blue on the other. They took their card to the heart to see which part of the body they should go to. Next they would have to go to the lungs to get oxygen back into the blood – as the card was turned to blue – to show it didn’t have any oxygen in it. Then they went back to the heart and repeated the task.

My new mate Stan is a skeleton. I met him in class, we were working on teeth and body parts. Every time we have science we go to have a look at his body parts. The first time we met I had to kiss Stan’s hand it was very gross, but every body in my class was laughing there head off including Mrs D who is a helper!

To see what would happen to our teeth when we drank different juices, we put eggs in cups full of different juices. We used eggs because they are quite similar to teeth in how they are made.
This egg was left in diluting juice for 2 days it went bald, soggy and furry! We put a dirty 2 pence coin in jucie too, it came out all shiney!
