We are delighted to announce that we are holding our second Book Fayre of this session from Thursday 06.03.08 until Tuesday 11.03.08. This will coincide with World Book Day which is on Thursday 06.03.08. Your child will make two visits, one to browse and the other to purchase books, should they wish to. Parents are warmly invited to visit the Fayre during the school day, on any of these dates, to make purchases on their child’s behalf.
To celebrate World Book Day, pupils (and staff!) are invited to come to school dressed as a character from a book. There will be a prize for the best costume for each stage. Our Parent Council members are already planning their costumes! A donation on this day of £0.50 from each pupil would be greatly appreciated. This is to raise funds for The Sunshine International Charity Fund, which is a project supporting street children in the Ukraine. This initiative is providing excellent learning opportunities for our pupils in International Education, Global Citizenship and Enterprise. Mr. Olyott, our P5/6 teacher, is visiting the project during the Easter holidays.

School finishes early tomorrow and we’ll be spending most of the morning travelling to or in church!
We wish you a merry Christmas. Thanks for stopping by and reading. We’ll be back with you in a couple of weeks. Bye.

I’ve added photos to some of the earlier posts - this may make them clearer to understand. Now we have our cameras up and charged(!) we’ll be storing most of our photos at flickr.
Use the button in the menu bar to view them.
