On Tuesday 29th April P4/3 went to Edinburgh Castle for our school trip . We had a guide called Craig and he took us around the castle. We took lots of pictures of all the things he showed us.  We saw Mons Meg the huge cannon and we heard the one O’Clock gun go off after we had lunch.  My favourite part was when we all got dressed up.  I was a lady and had a very pretty dress on.  It had gold thread and I loved it!  We all had such a great day and i would love to go back!  By Neave

The whole of p.6. came together to decide who would go to calender park to compete against other schools. So we had to make something to hold a shoe and a rubber. The man that came in to show us how to do it had to make a ramp. You also had to make the shoe and rubber to stay in and not fall off.

It took alot of hard work to try to get the shoe to fit and the rubber to stay in the right place. You got 1 trial and then you had to get judged.

Charlie and Scott won and the runner ups we Kiera ,Courtney and Katlinn.

5 weeks we’ve been learning about space.We did some research on the planets and we all made space pictures .Some of of us made rockets out of cardboard tubes. We painted them and then we put tissue paper at the bottom for all the hot gases that come out the bottom.We had draw around templates. We had a great time learning about space!

On Thursday 24th April we were all excited but the bus never came and we  were upset. Then we were ready to go swimming again but the bus never turned up in time. On the 1st may we are excited to go swimming and now we are hoping that we can go on this Thursday.

On Thursday the 24th April P5/6 started swimming lessons but the bus never came so we went back to the class and did handwriting we were upset. On Monday we were ready to go swimming again but the bus never came so we went to the I.C.T room we were annoyed. We are ready to go swimming on the 1st May.   

We are off for Easter until Monday 21st April.  See you then!

We had fun when Scott, Meighan and Abby got dressed up as knights. Sir Hugo the knight came to our school to show us some knight’s armour that was made many years ago. Sir Hugo made it fun for us as he let us shoot real arrows at a hay target.

Primary 4/3 were visited by a real knight last week called Sir Hugo.  We learned how people hunted food in the Middle Ages and he taught us how to use bows and arrows.  Abby got to wear chain mail and a helmet and she held a sword. She looks liked a proper knight!  My favourite part was when we went outside to shoot bows and arrows.
