Rainforest topic

We had a challenge to do. We had to make a vehicle out of junk that we never use we had to build something that would catch an injured rainforest animal. We only had one hour to do it. We had to make two seats (one for the driver and one for the vet) and a trap for the animal. We had to work together and follow our group rules. When we were finished Sean took pictures and we spoke about our design. It was good fun and we enjoyed it.

    If you managed your task in one hour you must have been working well together, well done.
    How does the trap work, is it automatic?

    Challenges are great fun aren’t they? Your group must have worked really well together to complete this challenge in an hour!
    Congratulations.
    Is the net at the back of the vehicle used to catch the animal? and what is the bottle in the middle for?

    hi john its Kieran and Scott for the trap u have to pull a lever its not automatic. We all did grate! work working toghther

    Kieran and Scott,
    thanks for getting back to me.
    I am interested in traps. When I was young I used to trap animals as part of the British Mammal Survey. I would catch very small mammals (mice, voles and shrews) identify them and let them go. The idea was to find out where about in the country different mammals lived.
    I used Longworth Traps. some of the wee mice seemed to enjoy getting caught as they came back every night (maybe for the free food and warm bed)
